Bowen Session: What to Expect
Each TeleBowen session is always individualized to meet your needs. Your practitioner will gear their work according to where your body is unbalanced. Most importantly, remember TeleBowen is holistic. It is not just a treatment for your symptoms. The problem may be influenced by an imbalance from a distant area in the body.
Some After Effects
Following the session, some changes may be noticeable right away. Pain may be reduced. Range of motion may have increased, and a deep sense of relaxation and well being may be felt.
You may notice changes over the next week as your body continues the process that began during your session. Sound sleep and increased energy are commonly reported. It is important to stay hydrated during this time. It is not uncommon to feel old injuries, memories, and pains begin to resurface. Do not suppress these sensations. These are signs your body is beginning to heal at a deeper level and these will pass usually within a few hours to a day.
Take daily walks to improve circulation and to help integrate the treatment. Staying hydrated is important! DRINK WATER!
Wait a week for your next session. (Unless a re-injury occurs.)
Avoid other body therapies for a week following your session to ensure your body’s nervous system has no interruptions.
Often times, various stretches and exercises will be recommended to enhance and facilitate your healing. These exercises help to restore range of motion and movement and are an essential part of your care and will improve your results. Drink Water!
Follow Up Sessions:
Please allow an hour for follow up appointment.
Your practitioner will determine your treatment plan during your first session. Your goals, current health, and response to the treatment will dictate how many sessions are necessary. It is important you complete your treatment plan for the best results. Sessions are usually scheduled once per week.
